The Fiji Football Association Just Play program conducted a two-day’ workshop for Village nurses and youth workers at Kiuva Village last week.
Fiji FA Just Play manager Lavenia Yalovi said this was the new curriculum workshop which was focused more on health being for children from 6-12 years.
“This was our first workshop for the village nurses for Rewa Sub Division Nakelo Zone which was well received by participants,”
“The theme of the workshop was HEALTH and WASH which is line with Ministry of Health in promoting basic hygiene and wellness of the people during the pandemic, “said Yalovi
Viavia Fane Tuitavuki acknowledged Fiji FA Just Play for the timely workshop for the villagers.
“We are very thankful to Fiji FA Just Play and its sponsors for coming this far and assisting us in the well-being of our children,”
The Wainibokasi Hospital nurse said the training and equipment would help a lot in well-ness of children in the villagers.
“We have been looking for ways to promote health and wellness but now with Just Play training and the equipment provided we will be able to facilitate more health and wellness sessions in our area,”Tuitavuki said
The Just Play Programme delivers football in combination with lifeskills messages and builds stronger healthy individuals, communities and nations. With the help of these community volunteers’ children in various communities will enjoy Just Play sessions that will enable them to explore the world around them through active participation, practicing decision making processes in a safe, inclusive environment.
