The Digicel Junior Bula Boys leave for Indonesia this Wednesday to participate in the PSSI Invitational Tournament in Jakarta.
Team manager Kartik Pillay said it will be a good build-up for the team ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup.
“The team has been in camp for the last three weeks under new coach Rodolfo Zapata and been preparing well for the tournament,” said Pillay
“We are happy that we have the opportunity to play some build-up matches as this will give our players more exposure and experience ahead of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in May
Pillay confirmed a 23-member squad will travel to participate in the tournament.
“Some players will be excluded from this tour as they are awaiting their Fijian passports.”
The four-team Invitational tournament includes Fiji, New Zealand, hosts Indonesia and Guatemala.
The Junior Bula Boys will take on the hosts in its first match on the 17th followed by Guatemala on Sunday, February 19 and New Zealand U20 on the 22nd.
