Jetsetters ready

The Nadi Football side has a mammoth task ahead as they prepare to kick-off its 2020 Vodafone Premier League (VPL) campaign.

This is because the Jetsetters will be facing season newcomers Navua who makes a return to the top level football in Fiji and, no doubt, the Southerners have been unstoppable in the senior division last season.

As the pre-transfer window is almost reaching the end, there have been very little movement in the Nadi side with a move of Napolioni Qasevakatini likely to make a comeback to his home district.

Nadi Football Association president Javed Ahmed confirmed Kamal Swamy also makes his return and has been appointed the head coach for this season.

Last season’s regulars including Rusiate Matarerega, Jeshal Kumar, Ame Votoniu, Afraz Ali and Vereti Dickson is training with the squad while U23 reps Tito Vodowaqa and Peni Tuigulagula is eyeing an overseas move, however not yet confirmed.

Nadi plays Navua in its first match of VPL 2020 at the Uprising Grounds in Navua at 3pm this Sunday.
