Jese, Waqa out of tonight’s clash

The Ba football side will be without its top two players as they face Nadi in the Vodafone Premier League clash at Prince Charles Park tonight.

Top defender Ilimotama Jese will be out for one match as he has two yellow cards to his name while striker Saula Waqa is out for two matches after getting a direct red card during the game against Nasinu last week.

Ba team manager Ranveer Singh said despite the two missing out, they believe in the replacements as well.

“Yes both are experienced in their positions as one is a defender and another one striker respectively.

“We are team Ba and we believe in our players so which ever player will replace, we know they will do the job,” he said.

Abbu Zahid and Narendra Rao will be back for the Men in Black after serving a one-match suspension last week.

Singh anticipates a tough encounter tonight.

“It will be a tough encounter, knowing Nadi have prepared well.

“Also after a loss to labasa they will come firing searching for three points.”

Nadi Football Association president Ashwant Singh said it is a must win game for them.

“Playing Ba is never an easy battle for us and we also know it a very important and a must win game for us.

“Humble request to the fans to come out and support our boys at home,” Singh said.

The match kicks off at 6.00pm.
