Hard work pays off

The teamwork, dedication, hard work and sacrifices from players is the success of Suva futsal side says Coach Vivek Nand.

“It’s especially the teamwork that kept us undefeated in the championship, “said Nand

“The boys really did hard work in training for the past few weeks sacrificing other commitments to prepare well for the championship and that paid off,”

“Majority of my players have been playing together for a while and this is another reason for our success,”

The former national futsal rep this year’s tournament was more competitive compared to last year.

“This year’s tournament was more competitive compared to last IDC and I think the teams have known the taste of playing futsal and the local futsal competition have boosted them. It was not an easy run for us as we had a tough final against Lami this year.”

“Lami was a good team and they gave us very tough game and I salute my boys for sticking to the game plan and keeping the structure well,” said Nand

The Jet Bar-Bar Grill sponsored Suva futsal side proved they are the best futsal team in the country after making a back-to-back Vodafone futsal IDC win at FMF Gymnasium in Suva last Sunday.
