The 2019 Vodafone/Fiji Football Association Administrator of the Year premier division award winner Ritesh Pratap aims to achieve more this year.
The Suva Football Association president scooped the award two weeks ago during the Awards Night at Pullman Nadi Bay Resort in Nadi.
Pratap said it was a huge achievement for him.
“This is my first award as the administrator of Suva FA and I am so proud to be recognized for the hard work we have done, “said Pratap.
Pratap said this would not have been possible without the support of his hardworking officials.
“We have a very diligent set of executive members on board and they all have worked to make me achieve this award, “he said
“I dedicate this award to the hardworking executive members of Suva Football Association, players, families and officials.
“Most importantly my family, my lovely wife Veeral Veenita Pratap, my daughters Tisha and Taanvi.
“They have been my pillar of my strength and have sacrificed a lot for me. Most of the time I’m away from home but they have been supportive of me.
Pratap’s achievements
A successful leader has always a vision as he maps out his success journey step by step. Furthermore, he shares his vision with his downline teammates and makes a strategy to work towards his vision and achieve the goal.
This was well achieved by Suva Football Association president Mr Ritesh Pratap.
Pratap after taking up the role as president of Suva FA, four years ago has shown good leadership role with his vision, commitment and dedication.
Under his leadership and vision Suva FA has improved a lot in terms of administration as he came in with new ideas and strategy to move the association forward.
No doubt this was achieved in 2019 with Suva finishing third on the Vodafone Premier League. A step up compared to 2018 where the side finished on fourth position.
The 2019 Vodafone Fiji FACT was contested well by the Suva side unfortunately the side lost 1-2 against Nadi in the final which was another achievement of Mr Pratap as an inspirational leader of Suva FA.
Under his guidance Suva qualified for the semi-finals of the 2019 INKK Mobile BOG and also reached the semi-finals of the 2019 Courts IDC.
He believes in transparency and has kept all the record of the association clean. He is very passionate about football. He is very approachable leader who always communicates well with players and officials of the team. His leadership style inspired the players and officials to bring glory days back to SFA.
Ritesh has brought in discipline and commitment in the Suva team and officials and is very much committed in the development of football in Suva. This was proved as the Suva U16 Youth team finished second in the Vodafone U16 Youth League in 2019.
He believes in player’s welfare and always assists players and officials in any situation they are in need off. Suva is the only association that pays FNPF for its players.
He inspires his team to ignore the odds of success journey. In addition to this, he maintains his full confidence level and doesn’t allow anything to deter him from achieving the goal.
The Suva futsal team won the Vodafone Futsal IDC and qualified for the first ever Oceania Futsal Champions League in New Caledonia last year.
Under his captaincy as president the Suva women team finished third in the Vodafone Senior Women’s League southern zone and qualified for the 2019 Vodafone Women’s IDC.
Under his leadership Suva FA submitted its annual report on time to Fiji FA after having his Annual General Meeting on time and submitted the quarterly report on time as well as per Fiji FA regulations.
The Suva FA Local League finished on time and nomination was sent on time to Fiji FA but unfortunately the National Club Championship was canceled last year.
