The Fiji Football Association is offering free grassroots football development program for children from under 7-12 years every Tuesday and Thursday at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa.
Fiji FA Development Officer Raju Goundar says the number is growing every week since it started two weeks ago.
“When we started there were only four kids but now we have more than ten kids and for sure it will grow, “said Goundar.
Goundar said our grassroots training program had a unique take on football training.”
“The young players – boys and girls ranging from 7 to 12 years – foster a stronger connect with the game through fun, team-oriented football.
“The focus is on skill training so that kids see their passion for football as their vocation and their team as their family, “added former Rewa rep
He says they are not charging single cent for the program but urges parents to bring their kids own sporting gears.
The program is conducted from 4pm to 5pm.
