The Fiji Football Association has started its grassroots development program for all age groups at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa.
Fiji FA development officer Tupua Waifune says the program will be for children from 6-17 years.
“We will have three days of program,” said Waifune
“It will be both for girls and boys on Monday and Wednesday from 3.30pm to 5pm and Saturday from 8.30 am to 10am,”
She said the program would be held according to age group.
“We have different programs for different age groups,”
“Football basics with passing, receiving, running with the ball, juggling, shooting dribbling and ball mastering will be part of the program.”
“The players will also go through positioning and game formation,” said Waifune
The former goalkeeper urged parents to bring in their kids to come play, enjoy and learn football.”
“Its free juts bring in your football gear and enjoy football and so together we can grow the game,”
