Extra Supermarket Labasa FC’s Jitoka Vulaca and Oceania Fiberglass Navua FC’s Jovilisi Borisi have both gone through three matches without conceding a single goal. Their outstanding performances have ensured that their teams enter the semi-finals with strong defensive records.
Jitoka Vulaca, a 27-year-old goalkeeper, made his debut for the Babasiga Lions on home soil during this tournament. Vulaca, who is the younger brother of former Labasa and national team goalkeeper Akuila Mataisuva, has quickly become a fan favorite due to his impressive skills and ability to keep the opposition at bay. Host Extra Supermarket Labasa FC will face defending champions Flick Hygiene Lautoka FC at 2pm in the first semi-final, while Oceania Fiberglass Navua FC will battle 4R Electric Ba FC at 4.30pm in the second semi-final.
A total of twenty-five goals were scored in the Group Stages of the Digicel Fiji FACT 2024 at Subrail Park in Labasa. Flick Hygiene Lautoka FC striker Sairusi Nalaubu leads the race for the Golden Boot Award, scoring four goals in the tournament in three matches. Oceania Fiberglass Navua FC midfielder Rahul Krishna and Extra Supermarket Rewa FC midfielder Josaia Sela have scored two goals each.
