The 2020 Vodafone Futsal Inter District Championship will be held in December with ten teams.
Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said after successful completion of the Vodafone Futsal IDC 2019, they were now ready to kick off the delayed 2020 season.
“The 2020 season will begin with Zonal Competitions from next month. The southern zone will start on October 16 while Western and Northern will kick off on 19,”Pal said
Pal said they were looking at hosting the IDC this year at Vodafone Arena from December 3rd to 6th.
“We want to complete the zonal competitions in mid-November so the teams can start their preparations for IDC,”
“We are looking at increasing the number of teams in the competition to 10 (4 teams from West , 5 teams from South and 1 team from North)
“Apart from a centralised venue in Lautoka, we have seen other venues in the Western Zone which will released soon and for Southern Zone we have FMF Gymnasium as the new venue and for North Zone, we will play at Nasekula District School, Labasa as last year,”he mentioned.
Pal said they intend to have even better competition in the 2020 edition of the tournament and this could only be possible through districts support.
