The Fiji Football Association in conjunction with Rewa Football Association will host a futsal festival for boys under 12 and 14 and girls U12 and U14 grade at the Saraswati Manoca Primary School grounds in Nausori.
Ten teams have been confirmed for boys U12 and U14 while four teams for girls in both category.
The pool draws for the festival was done at Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa on Monday.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said this was a pilot project.
“I must say this festival in Rewa is our pilot project and we will be taking this festival around the country, “he said
“Fiji FA is very much committed in the development of futsal in the country because this is where the players learn skills in small sided game and develop their skills for football,” said Yusuf.
Yusuf thanked the parents for supporting their children in their football career.
“I must thank all parents who are taking their time out to bring their children to the development programs and without them we will not have future stars of Fiji football, “said Yusuf.
Under 14 grade – Pool A- Nadali, Nausori, Lakena, Dreams Nakasi United and Narere
Pool B- Kasavu, Verata, Davuilevu, PSRU Cubs, Manoca Tigers.
U12- Pool A -Dreams Nakasi United, Verata 1, Davuilevu, Nausori, Lakena.
Pool B- Manoca Tigers, PSRU Cubs, Narere, Verata 2, Dreams Nakasi United 2.
The girl’s teams will play in round robin competition
The Futsal Festival will be held tomorrow from 9am.
