Five more inducted into Fiji FA Legends Club

The Fiji Football Association inducted five more heroes into the Legends Club during the Rewa Football Legends Club’s fundraising night at the Fiji FA Hall on Saturday night.

These are former Ba, Rewa and national goalkeeper Isikeli Seva, Ba and national rep Semi Tabaiwali, Rewa and national midfielder Mohammed Salim, former Rewa and national rep Stan Morrel, and former Rewa and national rep Faruk Saheb.

This legends program initiative of President Rajesh Patel started in 2017 and one of its main objectives is to recognize the contribution and give back to those footballers who have played their hearts out at the international arena and brought medals for Fiji.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said there were more than 80 members in the club.

“We have been honoring all the former players who are longer in the limelight for their contribution to football,”

“This is for their hard work in giving their sweat, blood, and tears for the country, “said Patel.

Patel said all the legends will now have access to all Fiji FA events for free.

“As part of the recognition, all inducted legends will have free access to Fiji FA events, symbolized by a Gold Card provided to them.

“To support their well-being, they are offered free access to fitness gyms in Ba and Suva,” said Patel.

‘’This program not only celebrates past achievements but also ensures that former players remain connected to the football community and are supported in their post-career endeavours.
