The 2019 Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup came to its conclusion on Saturday with four finals played at Churchill
Park in Lautoka.
All of the deciders were contested between Fiji West and IFG New South Wales with the Fijians getting
the upper hand in the first three matches.
In the boys youth, Fiji West scored a goal in each half to take out the title 2-0.
This was followed by the girls youth final which featured five goals in an entertaining exhibition of
football.

The senior girls was also an enthralling contest with Fiji West just doing enough to hold off IFG NSW 4-3
after the Australians had twice come from behind.
The final match of the tournament was the senior boys and the Australians were able to get on the
board with a 2-0 victory over their Fijian rivals who claimed the trophy in 2018.
Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup director Bruce Tilt said the day was a fantastic footballing showcase.
“It was a wonderful day, with every side involved playing periods of really entertaining football,” Tilt
said.
“I need to congratulate Fiji West for their tremendous efforts in winning three of the four divisions.
“Fiji West has always been a hotbed for developing talented players who have gone on to represent
their country on the international stage.
Tilt also thanked everyone who participated in the tournament, which celebrated its 10th anniversary
this year.
“I am very proud to run this event in Fiji but I couldn’t do it without the ongoing support of Fiji Football
and all of their players, coaches, referees and staff,” he said.
“I want to thank all those who came out and supported the competition throughout the week.
“Preparations for the 11th Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup are already underway and I am anticipating another
incredible tournament.”
