The 2019 Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup wrapped up at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Saturday with Fijian sides winning five of the seven divisions.
Ba took out the boys development (under-12s) division with a 2-1 win over Lautoka.
The sides had a goal each at half time before Ba netted a second half winner to claim the trophy, a year on from losing to IFG NSW in a penalty shootout in the same age group.
IFG New South Wales (NSW) finished third after edging Nadi 1-0 in the play-off.
The boys junior (under-14s) division was won by Nadi who beat Lautoka 3-0.
IFG NSW, who missed out on playing in the final by a single point, beat Ba 2-1 in the third-place play-off.
The girls junior (under-14s) final was contested between two Australian teams in IFG NSW and IFG South Australia.
New South Wales scored a goal in each half to win 2-0.
The boys youth (under-15s) division saw Fiji West and IFG NSW finish on 16 and 15 points respectively.
The Fijians proved too strong in the final, beating the Australians 2-0.
Sydney-based club Engadine finished third, beating Fiji South 1-0 in the play-off.
In the girls youth (under-16s), Fiji West topped the group with 11 points and face IFG NSW in the decider.
New South Wales tested Fiji West but couldn’t secure the title, losing 3-2.
Fiji South beat IFG South Australia 3-0 in the third-place play-off.
Fiji West didn’t lose a game in the boys senior (under-18s) division, that was until the final which saw IFG NSW prevail 2-0 in a hotly-contest match.
Fiji North overcame New Zealand side Manukau United 4-1 to finish third.
The girls seniors (under-19s) group stage saw IFG NSW win three games from three, finishing two points ahead of Fiji West.
The final was a seven-goal thriller with Fiji West securing the title with a dramatic 4-3 win over the IFG NSW.
IFG South Australia finished third in the group stage but lost 3-1 to Fiji South in the play-off.
