A family does not have to be perfect; it just needs to be united.
And the wife of the Vodafone National Futsal captain Setareki Hughes, Asenaca Ratumaitavuki Hughes, is always proud of how is husband has kept the family united.
“Setareki is always our favourite!” Mrs Hughes said.
“I thank God for his blessings all throughout the years and most importantly for blessing me with a husband who inspires, encourage, love and uplift our little girl every single day.
“Appreciate him as the head of our home, center of our world and keeper of our hearts.”
She said she is too happy and proud of all his achievements and also being named the captain of the Fiji Futsal team amazes me and my daughter.
Hughes has been away from his family on few occasions earlier this year and also in the past years.
Just this year, he was also part of the national senior men’s team camp since May in preparation to the Pacific Games which was played in Samoa in July.
“To be honest I’m used to him always being away for weeks and months because we started off with that routine and still carrying on with that and I love his desire to keep moving the needle and tireless work ethic that always inspire us as a strong loving family.
Asenaca is always behind her husband to support him whenever he takes the field.
“In every games he plays, either here in Fiji or abroad, I’m always looking for updates or I make sure I attend his games when he’s playing back here in Fiji.
“Either national, district or club games I’m always there to support and cheer my heart out for him.”
She said they are expecting a new born baby in a few months’ time.
“We couldn’t be any proud to await our newly born baby in a few months time and I couldn’t ask for more than having a father to my daughter and unborn child who’s always ready to work and ready to make an impact.”
