The Fiji Football Association delegation led by President Rajesh Patel, chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf, competitions manager Amitesh Pal, Player Registration and IT Manager Rohitesh Narayan, with Fiji FA North VP’s Edwin Chand and Girja Prasad toured Vanua Levu and met with district delegate last weekend.
Yusuf said they had a very fruitful tour and held meetings with some of the district representatives for way to improve football administration in the North.
“We had a fruitful meeting with the business committee together with former and current officials of Savusavu FA,” he said
“It is been revoked that Fiji FA set up a normalisation committee involving a lot of business people in Savusavu. They will take charge for 12 months and they will take Savusavu FA forward and set up everything like organising club games and other administrative works,”
“Savusavu has a very successful regional club futsal league going there which has a great support from all the business people and children which is played every day till midnight,”
Yusuf said Bua FA had been given a couple of days to solve their issues.
“If not Fiji FA will step in and appoint a normalization committee. We made a presentation to Seaqaqa FA and we are happy with the way Seaqaqa Football has been running and compliments to Lakhan and his team with business people that are supportive,”
Yusuf said that a Fiji FA delegation headed by Competitions Manager Amitesh Pal will tour Taveuni this weekend.
“This weekend a Fiji FA team will be there to oversee its club competitions.
“Following up we will also send referees director to instruct referees course and coach educator to organise coaching courses in Taveuni,” said Yusuf
Fiji FA also handed over equipment to districts on their tour.
