Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) is ready to host the first ever Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Senior B-Licence coaching course at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba.
Fiji FA technical director Ravinesh Kumar confirmed the course duration will encompass a minimum of 130 hours which will be divided in three parts of learning program.
Part one is scheduled from 25-29 November 2019 while part two and three is yet to be confirmed.
“This is a big achievement itself for Fiji FA to host a renowned coaching course for the first time in Fiji with a total of 18 participants,” Kumar mentioned.
“We have previously hosted it but that was a regional course which included participants from all over the Oceania region, but this is the first time we will have all our local coaches as participants.”
Kumar said the aim of the course is to develop coaches’ competences by providing experiences while preparing coaches to be better adapted to new challenges.
He also mentioned about the course per-requisites.
“Candidates for this course must hold a valid OFC senior C-License, must be actively involved in coaching performance or high-performance players, and submit a pre-course task three weeks prior to the course.”
The course will be conducted by OFC Head of Education and Development Giovani Fernandes with the Fiji FA technical director and OFC Instructor Kumar.
