Fiji FA joins new FIFA Initiative

Fiji Football is proud to announce they are working with FIFA on a new initiative to mark International Missing Children’s Day.

Already, over 200 clubs have offered to take part in the ‘Football Cares’ campaign.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said Fiji Football was extremely proud to collaborate the global football community to show that football cares for everyone.

“We are very proud to be joining the global football community in supporting this campaign,” said Patel

“I urge our players, officials and fans to report and support of any missing child to the authorities.”

“For families, just to know that people care makes a difference,” he said.

“We would love our district clubs to get involved in time to appeal for missing children and assist the families in getting the loved ones together.”

Patel added that the future of any country lies in the hands of our children, neglecting such issues like child abduction was a threat to the future of our nation.

The International Missing Children’s Day is marked on May 25th every year around the world.
