Fiji FA Donates $17,213 to WOWS Kids Fiji

The Fiji Football Association has once again shown its commitment to social responsibility by donating $17,213 to WOWS Kids Fiji from the gate takings of the BiC Fiji FACT 2025.

The contribution came from Fiji FA’s pledge to dedicate $1 from every ticket sold during the tournament to support children battling cancer and their families.

Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel said the initiative was made possible through the support of football fans across the country who turned up in large numbers.

“Every ticket purchased this year did more than just support the game – it helped change lives. Through this $17,213 contribution to WOWS Kids Fiji, we are proud to stand with children and families who face incredible challenges. Football has the power to unite us, on and off the field,” Patel said.

WOWS Kids Fiji Vice Chair Vilash Chand acknowledged the ongoing partnership with Fiji FA, saying the donation would go a long way in assisting families.

“We are deeply grateful to Fiji FA and the football fans of Fiji for their generosity. This support allows us to continue our mission of helping children and their families who face the daily struggle of childhood cancer. It is heartening to see sport play such an important role in community care,” Chand said.

Since 2022, Fiji FA has donated more than $80,000 to WOWS Kids Fiji from its major tournaments, with $9,209 handed over in 2023 from the Digicel Fiji FACT, $21,955 from other tournaments in the same year, $32,819 from the 2024 Fiji FACT and Battle of the Giants, and now $17,213 from this year’s BiC Fiji FACT.
