Without FIFA’s funding, not any member associations in football could succeed but when FIFA looks at 211 member associations equally like us an Island nation, we always thank FIFA for their support.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel made the comments during a banquet dinner night hosted for FIFA General Secretary Fatma Samoura at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on Sunday night.
‘It is our honor to have Madam Fatma Samoura to our shores,” said Patel
“We always appreciate what FIFA does for us and when they look equally that means there is no partiality between any member associations and that is something great about FIFA,”
Patel said they were happy that more funding was coming.
“As we grow along with World Cups and the funding we get we are happy that more funding is coming the development of football will happen,”
“It is also great to see there is no impartiality between men and women in football,”
“FIFA’s regulation states that every member association has to put a certain percentage to women’s football and I think that was a great regulation that was brought in and we as member associations have to excel with it and we can see women’s football has excel in this country,” said Patel
Patel said we at Fiji FA believe in women’s football.
“We believe in women’s football and that is why we have invested a lot in the development of women’s football in the country,” said Patel
