Excitement Builds for the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup

The stage is set for the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup which kicks off on Thursday, November 28, at Churchill Park, Lautoka. This year’s tournament promises an electrifying showcase of football talent, with teams from across the Pacific and guest squads bringing their A-game to Fiji’s football capital.

The opening clash sees Labasa FC, the FMF Inter District Champions and National League runner-up, take on the formidable USA All-Stars at 4:30 PM. The Babasiga Lions will aim to assert dominance and continue their winning form. However, the USA All-Stars, bolstered by the inclusion of top guest players, are expected to provide a stern challenge in what promises to be a thrilling opener.

Following the first match, the official opening will be done at 5.45 pm.

The excitement doesn’t end there. Making their debut in the tournament, Navua FC will face off against the AuFFI All-Stars in the second match of the evening at 6:15 PM. Known for their resilience and knack for shining in tournaments, the Southerners will look for a strong start to their campaign. However, the AuFFI All-Stars, featuring a mix of top Australian talent, are expected to pose a significant challenge with their classy style of play.

The 2024 National League Champions and most consistent team locally, Rewa FC, will take on defending champions Auckland All-Stars in the third match at 7.30 pm. This match is a must-watch, as Rewa FC looks to continue its stellar form against the tournament’s defending champions. With their eyes set on dethroning Auckland, the Delta Tigers are expected to bring their A-game to the pitch.

Fiji FACT and BOG Champions Lautoka FC will battle last year’s runner-up Manukau All-Stars in the last match at 8.45 pm. Known for their attacking flair and resilience, the Blues will be keen to continue their championship form, while the New Zealand-based side is eager to avenge their near miss in last year’s tournament.
