The Unique Rubber Stamp Suva FC will be going back to the drawing boards following its 0-1 loss to Esy Kool Nadi FC in the Digicel Premier League on Sunday.
The loss also ended Suva’s unbeaten run in the league.
Head coach Maxwell Thaggard said he prefers going back to the drawing boards instead of giving excuses for the loss.
“I could give over hundred excuses but I won’t do that and instead go back to the drawing board and rectify from there,” he said.
“Like we played the second half, we should have played the same in the first half.
“Some decision making in the attacking third and we have not been using our strikers.”
Ni-Vanuatu import, Alex Saniel, made his debut for the Capital City Boys as he went off the bench before the second half started.
Thaggard says Saniel would be able to do the job for Suva upfront.
“He is going to give the defenders a hard time this year.
“He has just come in and jelling well with the team. He made some brilliant moves today and gave a ball that should have been a goal for sure.
“But that’s football, if you do not take your chances, you lose the game.”
