DPL to go on international break

The Digicel Fiji Premier League will be on break for two weeks for the Tri-nations FIFA International Friendlies which will be played in Lautoka next week.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal confirmed the DPL goes on an international break.

“We are having FIFA Window for international friendlies and our national senior and under 20 team will be participating in the Tri-Nations International Friendlies, most of the players represent the district’s teams and that is the reason Fiji FA decided to give break to the DPL,”

“The other competitions like Digicel Women’s Super League, Digicel Senior League, Digicel Women’s Senior League, and age group competitions will continue,” said Pal

He confirmed that the competition will resume on April 1.

The Marika Rodu-coached Digicel Bula Boys will open its campaign against Vanuatu next Monday at 5 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The Digicel Junior Bula Boys will take on the Solomon Islands at 2 pm at the same venue.

On Thursday, March 23 at 2 pm, Digicel Bula Boys will take on Digicel Junior Bula Boys at the Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba while the Solomon Islands will play Vanuatu at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 7.30 pm.

On Sunday, March 26 Digicel Junior Bula Boys will face Vanuatu at 2 pm while Digicel Bula Boys will take on the Solomon Islands at 5 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The ticket price for adults is $10 flat while a child under 10 is free.
