Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Fareed Mohammed congratulated all the participating teams in the Digicel Lami Regional Beach Soccer championship which concluded last Sunday at FSC Beach Soccer pitch in Laucala.
Mohammed said all the teams were the winners.
“I would like to congratulate all the winners of the championship but I think after being able to come out and play after six months of break and I would say you all winners and let’s hope and see all sports get activated in coming days,” said Mohammed
“I would also like to congratulate Fiji FA for being able to get the sport back in the field,” said Mohammed.

Meanwhile, Digicel has further pushed its sponsorship with Fiji Football Association for a further six months.
Speaking during the presentation at the Lami Regional Beach soccer championship last Sunday, Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Fareed Mohammed said working with Fiji FA has been a great pleasure.
“Digicel’s commitment when we signed off a sponsorship was for three years deal but I am happy to say as you know working with Fiji Football has been a great pleasure and with their support and mutual agreement the sponsorship now has now been pushed out for another six months to allow for the continuation of sponsorship which we lost for the period of six months,” said Mohammed
Mohammed said we all should be happy that we have been given an opportunity to play contact sports again.
“I also take this opportunity to thank the Fiji Government for their vision in getting Fiji to a normal state and I think this is big testimony as we achieved as a country,”
He reminded the players to be cautious and not to put their guards down.
“We are still not out of the gates as I would say so it is our responsibility in order to continue enjoying outdoor activities and sports it is our responsibility to practice all Covid 19 protocol measures that are in place and enjoy playing sports, “said Mohammed.
