Day Two Delivers Drama at the 2025 BIC Fiji FACT

The 2025 BIC Fiji FACT shifted gears on Day Two with a string of gripping encounters that saw title contenders rise, underdogs fight back, and the race for semifinal spots tighten dramatically at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Defending champions Paradise Seafood Supplies Lautoka FC laid down a strong marker with a clinical 2-0 victory over Dayals Sawmillers Ba FC in the day’s opener. After a goalless first half, talisman Saula Waqa broke the deadlock in the 64th minute, pouncing on a defensive lapse. Simione Nabenu sealed the win in the 87th minute, capitalizing on a tiring Ba backline to secure three crucial points.

Ba showed moments of attacking intent but lacked cohesion in the final third, leaving them with just a single point after two matches.

Stratum Construction Suva FC bounced back emphatically from their opening draw, defeating PartsLink Automotive / Manasa Export Nadroga FC 2-0 in the second match of the day. Winger Joe Moses was the star of the show, scoring on either side of halftime. His first came in the 41st minute after a clever buildup, and he added a second just six minutes into the second half with a sharp finish inside the box.

Nadroga, despite showing heart and determination, remain winless and must now deliver something special in their final group game to stay in contention.

Extra Supermarket Labasa FC earned a valuable 1-0 win over Bula Rentals & Tours Nadi FC, courtesy of a composed second-half finish by Rusiate Doidoi. In a cagey affair, both teams struggled to find attacking rhythm, but Labasa’s defensive discipline and experienced spine ultimately prevailed.

In the final clash of the day, Blue Gas Navua FC and Ajay Trading Rewa FC played out a tense 1-1 draw. Sairusi Nalaubu put Navua ahead with a composed penalty in the 30th minute. Rewa responded in the second half, with Josaia Sela netting the equalizer in the 63rd minute following sustained pressure.

Both teams had late chances to steal all three points, but a share of the spoils keeps both within touching distance of the semifinals.
