US- Based Digicel Kulas striker Trina Davis has thanked all the fans for their support for the team during the OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2022.
Speaking to Fiji FA Media, Davis said even though they did not get the outcome they wanted, the fans really backed the team despite the result.
“It was amazing to see such a big crowd. I have never played in front of a huge crowd and it was fantastic to hear their cheers from the pavilion,” said Davis
“I really appreciated their support and blessings and I want to say “thank you everyone for your support,”
“From the team and me, we were so grateful to have so much support,”
“All the love and support even from overseas and locals via Facebook messages was heart touching,”
“Even we lost, count of people messaged us thanking us and saying you did a great job so which has made us put our heads up and continue our preparation ahead,”
“We had such an amazing team and I am happy that I have been part of the team,”
“My heart is always for Fiji and I thank my parents and my sisters for coming from the US and all my families who supported me during the tournament,”
Davis will have some time with her grandparents in Lautoka before heading back to the USA this week.
