The Courts Inter District Championship (IDC) 2020 is set to get the ball rolling at the ANZ Stadium in Suva next week.
As the curtain in the Premier division opens at 12.30pm, hosts Suva will face giant-killers Nasinu in the opening match.
Defending champion Labasa, who already faced a shocking defeat to Navua in the Vodafone Premier League, will battle the tournament underdogs at 2.30pm.
Twenty-four times champion Ba will face Nadi at 4.30pm before the official opening ceremony at 6.30pm.
The feature match of day one will be the current Vodafone Premier League leaders Rewa taking on Lautoka at 7.00pm.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf is urging the fans to purchase the tickets in advance to avoid any disappointments come the match day.
“We are starting with the ticket presales at the Fiji Sports Council office from today and I would like to remind the fans to purchase their tickets in advance as we are only selling the tickets considering the 50 percent capacity of the stadium,” Yusuf said.
“I can assure that we all will witness exciting matches at the Courts IDC as all teams will be coming prepared and also knowing that we have already witnessed some major upsets in the Vodafone Premier League.
“The senior and women’s division will also be equally exciting to watch.”
The Courts IDC will be played from 6-11 October, 2020.
