Changes for fans,Buksh

Battle of the Giants and demands from fans were the motivating factor for Rewa to sign in some big names says association president Nazeel Buksh.

The Delta Tigers have roped in national team players Dave Radrigai, Kavaia Rawaqa and Savenaca Baleidrokdroka in the mid-season transfer window.

“The signing was all because the demand from the fans. The fans have been demanding to strengthen the team and we have listen to them and went out to rope in some best players in the country and BOG was most motivating factor, “said Buksh

“Being the host and most of the successful team during the BOG recently so we thought it wise to invest in the team to improve our ranking in the VPL and win the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament,”

Buksh confirmed that they would have a board meeting this week to decide on paying fine for Pita Rabo or look for another coach.

“We will have our board meeting sometimes this week and we will decide what to do in regards to Rabo to pay his fine or look for another coach.”

“Definitely we will need someone on the bench with experience since we have lost Marika Rodu there have been a big vacuum left behind  which we have been trying to fill from last year or so and BOG is coming up we can not take it lightly now and need to fill this gap immediately,”said Buksh

Rabo was fined $5000 by Suva Football Association for breaking camp during the Vodafone Fiji FACT and is not allowed to be on the bench.

Buksh said the Rewa FA Board would decide whether to pay his fine or bring in new coach.

The Delta Tigers last won the BOG title in 2017 where they made it back to back.
