Can the Delta Tigers continue its DPL unbeaten run?

The AK Plumbing & Glamada Rewa Football Club will enter the 32nd edition of the Digicel Fiji FACT with an unbeaten run in the Digicel Fiji Premier League (DPL) 2023 season.

Current Digicel Fiji Premier League points table ladder leaders will be out to clinch their fourth Fiji FA Cup Tournament title after being drawn in Group B with Labasa, Nadi, and neighbors Tailevu Naitasiri.

The Delta Tigers are the favorites after an impressive performance so far in the Digicel Fiji Premier League outings this season.

They have proven they are a tournament team and have what it takes to come out of a tough pool and go ahead and win the tournaments.

Rewa is a team full of confidence and could compete with the best teams in the competition.

If they keep their game plan well they will be one of the contenders for the semi-final come Saturday.

They won the title three times and have been runners-up two times.

Coach Rodick Singh will be out to prove his worth after the departure of former coach Marika Rodu. Rewa has a mixture of experienced and youth players who have shown pride in the red jumper.

They will rely on the experience of players like goalkeeper Emori Raqata, defenders Peniame Drova, Kavaia Rawaqa, and brothers Gabrieli and Iowane Matanisiqa, midfielders Setareki Hughes, Ratu Tevita Warainivalu, Patrick Joseph, Iosefo Verevou and Abbu Zahid.

Upcoming stars to look out for in the squad include Neemish Prasad, Asivorosi Rabo, Josaia Sela Jnr, and Ayush Chand.

The Delta Tigers will kick off their campaign against Labasa FC on Friday, June 9 at 8 pm and plays Tailevu Naitasiri FC in their second match on Saturday before taking on Nadi FC in the final Group B fixture against Nadi FC on Sunday at 5 pm.
