Bigger sponsorship

Fiji Football Association has increased its sponsorship from $35000 to $40000 this year for the 2019 Vodafone Fiji Secondary School’s Championship.

Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf made this announcement during the pool draws for tournament a fortnight ago at Ratu Cakobau Park VIP Lounge.

Yusuf said Fiji FA was indebted to Vodafone Fiji for their continuous sponsorship for football in the country.

“Part of the overall package Fiji FA president Mr Rajesh Patel has decided to increase the sponsorship to $40000 which is $5000 more this year.”

“They have increased the number of teams this year with more girls’ team participating and we want to encourage women’s football in the country and starting from the schools is where we intend to invest more, “said Yusuf. The Vodafone Secondary Schools Championship kicks on Wednesday August 7 to Sunday 11 in Ba.
