Twenty districts will participate in this year’s Courts Inter District Championship which will be played at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva next month.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf this was after seven years Fiji FA has invited all the member associations for the Courts IDC.
“The competition will be played in three grades. The top eight teams will be part of the Super Premier, the two bottom teams from the DPL rankings and four top teams from the Digicel Senior League make up Premier Division while the rest stay in the senior division,” said Yusuf
“It was unfortunate we could not hold the tournament last year so we decided to get all the 20 teams this year,”
“It is going to be an electronic atmosphere when the tournament begins next month,”
“The teams will have a lot to play for they have enough time for the preparations,” Yusuf said.
Yusuf acknowledged Courts for their continuous support in the development of football in the country.
“Without Courts, this would have not been possible and I wholeheartedly thank Court for the generous sponsorship,”
“I can assure all fans that it’s going to be worth coming down at this year’s Courts IDC,” said Yusuf
