The Labasa Football team is fully focused on the preparation as far as the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion (CvC) series is concerned.
Coach Ronil Lal said the preparations are going well despite a few players not turning up for the training sessions.
“Preparation is going on well but have few hiccups,” Lal said.
“Some players have been missing training.”
He said the players have been responding well so far after coming back from a long festive break.
“They are responding well.
“It’s difficult to get full fitness only in few weeks but we are trying our best. It also depends on our recovery, nutrition and hydration which are very important.”
Lal said the two-match series would definitely be a challenging one.
“It all depends on which team has prepared well and what system of play we are going to use.
“We will try our best to come up with a game plan to counter Ba.”
When asked if the team is going to miss any regular players from last season, he said, “At the moment it’s not clear as the transfer window is still open.”
