The defending champion Ba Women’s side has left no stones unturned as they get ready for the 2020 Vodafone Women’s Inter District Championship that gets underway at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.
Head coach Naomi Cavasiga said the preparation had been going well and they aim to defend the title.
“The preparation had been good as our girls know how much this tournament means to us and likewise every team will be coming prepared.
“Our main aim is to defend the title and we all are looking forward to the tournament,” Cavasiga said.
She said they would not be taking any teams lightly in this tournament.
“We respect all our opponents and will not underestimate any teams.
“Every game for us will be treated as final.”
Cavasiga said playing at the national stadium would be a challenge for most of her girls.
“We have majority of u16 and u19 girls in the team and it will be first time for most of them to play at the national stadium.
“But yes, we all are looking forward to it.”
