Ba, Suva lead futsal

The Suva Futsal side has taken the lead in the Digicel Futsal League southern zone after beating Northland Tailevu 5-2 last Friday at FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

It was a close battle in the competition with Lami and Rewa both down with a point.

Lami defeated Nasinu 3-1 in their last outing and is in third place with 27 points but Rewa with 27 points has a better goal advantage sits in the second position.

Tailevu Naitasiri is in fourth place with 22 points Navua after a 3-2 win against Tailevu Naitasiri on Friday is on fifth place with 17 points and Nasinu in the sixth position also with 17 points. An improved Northland Tailevu side is on the bottom of the points table with eight points.

This week Lami will play Navua, Nasinu and Suva will battle while Tailevu Naitasiri will face Rewa.

Meanwhile, the Ba futsal side maintains its lead in Digicel Futsal League southern zone unbeaten.

The Men in Black are on top of the point’s table ladder with 34 points after playing 12 matches.

Last weekend they defeated Lautoka 6-2 and won 2-1 against Nadi. Nadi is in the second spot while Lautoka sits in the third position. Nadroga is in fourth place, Rakiraki in fifth and Tavua sits at the bottom of the points table.
