The Vodafone Premier League (VPL) defending champion Ba would once again come firing this season in its bid for the title defense.
The Men in Black now have one of the strongest squad in the registered for this season after the recent signing of national reps Samuela Drudru, Laisenia Raura, Beniamino Mateinaqara, Solomon Islands national team captain Benjamin Totori and Vanuatu duo Micah Tommy and Jason Thomas.
However, the Men in Black had a disappointing start to the 2020 season after going down to Labasa 2-1 in the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion series last weekend.
And now, they would be having the coaching expertise of the former All Whites, Ricki Herbert who has been brought in to prepare the side for the upcoming Oceania Football Confederation Champions League (OCL).
According to coaches Shalen Lal and Ronil Kumar, while the team would want to ensure its VPL title defense, the first few games would be taken as a buildup to the OCL before having their first game against Auckland City on March 02.
Also featuring for the Ba squad would be their last season regulars of Abbu Zahid, Malakai Rakula, Ilimotama Jese, Malakai Tiwa, Kishan Sami and Praneel Naidu to name a few.
Ba travels to Ratu Cakobau Park to face Rewa in their opening match of the VPL 2020 at 3pm this Sunday.
