The Ba football side finished fifth on the Digicel Premier League points table standing beating Nasinu 3-0 in the final round last Sunday at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
The Men-In-Black have 29 points after registering 9 wins, 2 draws and 7 losses.
Ba has won the National League title 29 times and the last was in 2019.
Coach Ronil Kumar was happy with the performance of his team.
“I am really happy with the result as we came out in the game as a build-up for the Courts IDC,”
“We knew we were out of the contest for the title so I told the boys we go and play our best and build up for the IDC,”
Kumar said he had a very young squad that need proper guidance.
“We have a very young squad and if proper guidance is given I am sure they will do wonders in the future,”
“We have seen a lot of errors in the match against Nasinu so we will go back to the drawing board, iron out our mistakes, and prepare well for the upcoming major tournament next month,”
A 28th-minute goal by Ni-Vanuatu midfielder Claude Aru put the Men in Black in front.
Two further goals from Kini Madigi and Suliano Tawanikoro in their 56th and 78th minutes sealed the deal for Ba.
