TAILEVU NAITASIRI will have an automatic promotion to the Premier Division next year. This after the northern teams have declared their interest that they didn’t want to play home and away matches.
This was revealed in Fiji FA’s 83rd Ordinary Congress last weekend in Lautoka.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said the champions of Digicel Senior League would get direct promotion to the top division.
“Well the rule remains and the northern team do not want to play we cannot deprive Tailevu Naitasiri as well so they will get the chance to rub their shoulders with other giants of the Fiji Football, “said Patel
“Actually the winners from Viti Levu and Vanua Levu in Digicel Senior League were to feature on a home and away basis to qualify but congratulation to Tailevu Naitsiri as they deserve the promotion for their hard work for the season.
Who Tailevu Naitasiri will replace will be decided this weekend when Nadroga and Navua will battle at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
It’s going to do or die for Navua as they will need two clear goals to survive while Nadroga just needs a draw.
