U-20 upset Nadroga

He made these comments as the side made a perfect start to their first match of the new season with a 3-0 victory over Sunquick Sigatoka Motor Spares Nadroga in the Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix National Football League on Sunday at Lawaqa Park.
Ilisoni Logaivau scored the opening goal for the Skippy U-20 side just 23 minutes in the first spell. Jone Salaweune and Iliesa Lino added further two goals in the second spell to secure a victory.
Manager Vosaboto says the win was a perfect morale booster for the young side.
“We are very happy with this result against Nadroga. Few of our regular players were unavailable for this match but the other boys stepped up and played their hearts out,” he said.
Vosaboto added there were few loose ends to tighten as they progress in the season.
“We have some areas to work on as the side prepares for the second match. Following the match against Nadroga I can say that there is a lot of room for improvement. I believe next few weeks are vital as we gauge the players in prepration for the U-20 playoffs in NZ,” he said.
The National U-20 squad has been full time in camp at the Dr. M.S Sahu Khan National Football Academy in Ba since early last year.
