Lami on Track

A 10-men Nasinu side lost 4-1 to Angel Gold Lami who now looks good to finish on top and feature in the Viti Levu playoffs as they are now with 10 points.
On a wet TFL National Stadium turf Nasinu was reduced to 10-men on the 32nd minute as Rusiate Rokobulou was given the marching orders by referee Rajnish Dave.
Lami took advantage as Vinal Chand scored just a minute later. David Matavesi equalised for Nasinu before the break.
But Avikash Prasad, Ruvendra Prasad and Atish Chand added further misery to Nasinu’s campaign in the second half as Lami picked up a crucial 4-1 victory.
Eveready Dinz Work Ltd Tailevu Naitasiri is also one of the contenders to top the Southern division as they beat Skipper Levuka 3-0 at Nassau Park.
The match was scheduled for 11am but the match was delayed to 1pm due to a heavy downpour. Hoteshwar Padarath’s lone first half goal on the 16th minute saw the visitors lead 1-0 at the break.
Shelvin Prasad and Apisai Voravora added two more goals for the Tailevu Naitasiri side in the second half.
