Navua 2 Savusavu 0

Navua who were held 0-0 by Royal Tea Nadi during the first round last Sunday put up a strong opening half performance to clinch their first victory of the Inkk Mobile B.O.G. #US-based Salvador Vergara opened the account on the 5th minute. Seventeen minutes later former Rewa rep Netani Doli made it 2-0. #Navua coach Krishneil Sharma, believes the victory was a perfect one to get their campaign back on track. #“We are pleased with this win following a tie in our first match. Savusavu was a strong side and gave us a good run but my boys put up a good performance. Our focus will now be for our next game which will be against Suva,” Sharma said. #Savusavu tried every trick in the book to get some reward in the second spell but they were denied by a determined Navua defence. #Their President Jabid Hussain, said conceding the early goals was the downfall for his side. #“I must thank my boys for the wonderful performance. Savusavu is a very young team and we were up against a very experienced Navua outfit. We conceded two early goals which affected our chances. Based on the current situation we all have to play for in our second match,” he said. #2011 Inkk Mobile B.O.G#Full Time: Skipper Tuna Navua 2 Nivea Savusavu 0#Navua Goals: Salvador Vergara 5”; Netani Doli 22”#No Caution#6.45pm Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori#Navua: 1.
