Navua, Ba gain maximum points

Navua coming off a 3-1 victory over the Skippy Southern U23 last Thursday maintained their form on Sunday as they defeated Weet-Bix Shop N Save Lautoka at Churchill Park by the same margin. #Lautoka got the upper hand in the first spell as evergreen Jone Vono Junior put the home side ahead on the 34th minute. #Navua equalised just seven minutes later when Pranil Kumar found the back of the net. Kumar got his second goal in the new spell and Sailosi Livatalo added Navua’s third. #Ba impressively netted in ten goals over the latest round of the league. Ba beat Sunquick Sigatoka Motor Spares Nadroga 5-1 at Lawaqa Park. On Sunday Angel Tavua suffered a similar fate as they went down to Ba 5-0 at Garvey Park. #In the other match played on Sunday, Royal Tea Shop N Save Nadi upset a high flying Bic Power Electric Suva side 1-0 at Prince Charles Park. #The two-match Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix Premier Viti Levu playoffs ended with a tie as both teams now have equal points and goal differential. #Janola Rakiraki defeated Eveready Vinz Workz Tailevu Naitasiri 3-1 during the first leg at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
