League starts next weekend

Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) national league board chairman Shiek Ibrahim says they have given teams this week to regroup after the recent adverse weather conditions for the past few weeks which delayed the opening. #“The Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League will start next weekend. We have given this week off in order for them to train and prepare. The recent weather conditions had made things difficult and many teams were not able to train. Teams can make use of this ample time and be ready for the opening next week,” Ibrahim said. #The national league board chairman said the schedules for the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League will not change. #“Round one matches will be played next weekend. There will be no change in schedule,” he said. #Meanwhile each of the 23 Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) affiliated districts will receive five new soccer balls for the new Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League season.#Shiek Ibrahim, the national league board chairman said from the five soccer balls handed out to each district, three will be allocated for the senior side while two will go towards the U21 side. #“The Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League season will be starting soon. These soccer balls will indeed help the sides in their preparation as well as used when the district host their league home matches,” he said. # Fiji FA MEDIA
