Rajesh Patel, the Fiji FA President said media reports stating of a possible legal action against an OFC official who was likely to be present for the inauguration has seen the directive of the postponement given to Fiji FA.#“Fiji FA has been given a directive by OFC in writing to postpone the official opening and we have no option but to abide by the decision,” Patel said.#“Media reports stating of a possible legal action against one of their official saw OFC take this step as the letter states that “It is a fundamental principle of FIFA and OFC that there is no political interference in the activities and duties”.#Patel further states that a new date for the FIFA Goal II Project opening will be finalised once the matter was resolved.#“On a positive note the letter further states that FIFA/OFC are willing to discuss this matter with our government and re-establish a good relationship.”#The new Fiji FA Headquarters and Regional Technical Centre is part of the FIFA Goal Project II which will house the headquarters, training, accommodation and dining facilities.#The first FIFA Goal Project which is the National Football Academy is situated in Ba.
