The Eveready Rewa Under-18 side will battle the VIVA Tailevu Naitasiri U-18 side 4pm. Rajesh Patel the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Vice President and Youth Director says the main target of these programme was to prepare the next Under 17 and 20 sides.#“The Youth League for the 2011 season resumes in Thursday. This year we will have the U-15 and U-18 grades as this is part of our plans to start preparation for the next U-17 and U-20 National sides. From this Youth League we will select players into their respective zonal teams and Youth board is looking ahead and when the time comes we will not have to look for players to represent the National side,” Patel said.#The Youth Director says competition was expected to resume in the Northern and Western division soon.#“This competition is entirely for development purpose and not for winning or losing. This programme is a continuation from last year. Next we will look at the programme in the Western and Northern division where competition is expected to start soon.#“I would like to urge all districts to please cooperate with their youth teams as they are our future. These players will one day become good footballers and will represent their districts,”Patel said.# Fiji Football News #
