2012 Courts Inter District Championship#The 2012 Courts Inter District Championship is just around the corner and I’m sure that the football fans around the country maybe excited as we close the 2012 season. #All the teams have been confirmed and pools have been drawn. It is just a matter of time before the action kicks off at Govind Park in Ba. #The Courts IDC is sort of a football festival whereby many fans from both Fiji and abroad take interest in and this being the oldest Fiji FA tournament the board of control felt that this tradition needed to continue. #Thus we allowed the ten first division sides to participate unlike the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants. # We ask the football fans to support us and work with us to see this event achieve yet another milestone. #I would like to thank Courts for their continued support. #Fiji FA Annual Congress#Various motions will be forwarded at the Fiji FA annual congress which will take place next Tuesday at the National Football Academy in Ba. #Top of the list will no doubt be the eight team format. I cannot make any remarks on this issue yet as the members will decide and any decision made will need to be respected and implemented. #Fiji FA Veterans IDC#The Fiji FA RC Manubhai/APCO Paints sponsored Veterans tournament has been postponed this weekend. #The ground condition at Prince Charles Park in Nadi is not in a good state and has been closed. #On the other hand also a lack of interest has been shown towards this event as only six teams have entered. No overseas side has confirmed their entry and it is a setback but there is nothing we can do if teams are not interested. #Finau Vulivuli#I’m pleased to say that our referee Finau Vulivuli is doing really well at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan. #Finau controlled a last round pool encounter between Gambia-France with her trio. #In the earlier rounds she was appointed as a fourth official in Azerbaijan-Colombia, USA-Gambia, Uruguay-China and Germany-China. #This goes to show the standards of Finau and I would like to wish her well for the remainder of the event. #Good luck and make us all proud…. # #
