A total of 24 teams have entered for the weekly competition which is expected to start soon. Jainendra Sukhu, the Fiji FA futsal commission secretary confirmed that Sun Insurance and Devan P Sharma have once again given their thumps up to sponsor the futsal league. #“Around 24 teams have entered in this league and so we have divided them in four pools. Sun Insurance Devan P Sharma is sponsoring this second Fiji FA futsal league of the year and we would like to thank them for their support. #“Fiji FA will also be providing assistance along with the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) grant to help us develop the shortened code,” Sukhu said. #Bob Kumar the Fiji FA chief executive officer, elaborated further. #“Fiji FA is trying to work out things so that futsal is played throughout the country on a regular basis. The futsal commission is making efforts to organise leagues along with other competition and we are fully supporting them. #“We have talked about separate registration of futsal players and that is going to happen soon. For the international commitments we are still relying on 11-a-side players.
