Labasa wary of Nadroga

Following the close 1-0 victory over Weet-Bix Lautoka during the first round, Sahib said they need to regroup before their next match against an unpredictable Sunquick Nadroga side.
“We only stand a chance in this tournament if players rediscover themselves,” Sahib said.
“Against Lautoka I was impressed with the player’s defensive commitment and qualities. Offensively players need to take control of ball while being patient and take control of the game. Most of times they created difficult situations and brought problems for themselves, they lost possession as they were kicking the ball aimlessly. I hope the players will rediscover themselves.”
“We have got a team that has got all the ingredients to win the BOG but the players have to play more positive football and find their usual style of play and that is passing and possession.”
Nadroga upset traditional giants Ba last Sunday 1-0. Sahib is wary of the challenge the stallions will bring to the table tomorrow night.
“Nadroga defeated one of the tournament favourites which will no doubt lift their team morale. Over the recent past seasons they have been fielding young players who know seem to have matured in their self belief.”
“Labasa will be out for a positive result as it will go down a long way in helping us make the playoffs. In any tournament we cannot afford to underestimate any side and on this occasion Nadroga is no exception. A win is only guaranteed if the players can make it happen,” Sahib said.
Labasa takes on Nadroga 8pm tonight in their second Inkk Mobile BOG match at the Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
