Who will Fall?

Heading into week four of the weekly competition Suva and Rewa remain the only side not to taste defeat yet. #The likes of Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Labasa, Savusavu, Navua, Nadroga and Tavua have lost. #Rewa claimed top spot at the end of week three with 10 points after victories over Labasa and Savusavu. In week two they beat Ba 1-0 and drew 1-1 against Nadi during the opening round. #Suva with six points is in second place after a 2-1 victory over Navua and later 3-1 against Tavua. #Mahen Prasad, the Suva Football Association president said a victory over Rewa is what is on their minds. #“Suva is out for nothing less than a victory. So far we have maintained an unbeaten run and would like to keep a clean sheet. Rewa will be a tough side to beat but as one knows there is a rivalry between the two sides and neither side would want to lose,” Prasad said. #“I urge the Suva fans to come out in numbers and cheer the capital side to victory. Suva is in a good position and will further progress if we do well in this round.” #The Suva defence will be up against their former team mate Apisai Smith who has joined Rewa during the last transfer and registration window. #Rewa will look to further extend their lead. Last Friday they defeated Labasa 5-0 and later Savusavu 3-0 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. #Yogeshwar Singh, the Rewa Football Association president said they cannot afford to relax just yet. #“Rewa has been doing well in the national league but we cannot relax as the competition is still wide open. Each result will be an important one in keeping our chances alive for the #Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League title,” Singh said. #The match kicks off at 7pm this Friday at the TFL National Stadium. # Fixtures#Week 4: Fixtures# #Friday March 23, 2012#7pm Suva-Rewa#TFL National Stadium, Suva# #Saturday March 24, 2012#2pm Savusavu-Lautoka#Ganilau Park, Savusavu# #Sunday March 25, 2012#1.30pm Labasa-Lautoka#Subrail Park, Labasa# #Sunday March 25, 2012#3pm Suva-Nadroga#TFL National Stadium# #Sunday March 25, 2012#3pm Nadi-Navua#Prince Charles Park, Nadi# #Fiji Sun/GP Batteries Premier Division Football League# #Sunday March 25, 2012#3pm Levuka-Nasinu#Nassau Park, Levuka# #Sunday March 25, 2012#1pm Tailevu North U21- Tailevu Naitasiri U21#3pm Tailevu North- Lami# Fiji FA MEDIA
