Yogeshwar Singh, the National League Board chairman said there were plans to begin the new league season a week after the 2012 Pillay Garments Champions League. #A meeting has been called for next Sunday in Suva by the national league board to meet with the various district affiliates and discuss the plans for the new league season. #“This week is the council meeting and following weekend we have called a national league board meeting,” Singh said. #“The idea is to finalise the fixtures and discuss on how we will approach the 2012 league season. Along with the Super Premier competition, the zonal premier playoffs will be discussed as well. At the moment our plan is to start the league after the champion’s league.”#Singh was appointed the league board chairman during the last Fiji FA board of control meeting in Ba. He said the task was on them to complete the league on time. #“Our plan is to complete the national league season in June and not drag the competition. Then the 2013 season will begin later in the year during November.
