I would like to thank Rajat Chaudhary managing director of OneWorld Flight Centre Ltd once again for lending a helping hand and we hope for a similar support in future. #The winners and the nominees on the night showed true sportsmanship as they applauded and appreciated the contribution of all our football stakeholders. #A huge crowd gathered at Central Cuisine Restaurant in Suva for the prestigious function and behalf of the Fiji FA family I would like to thank everyone who made this event a successful one. #I’am also pleased to announce that OneWorld Flight Centre Ltd have agreed to sponsor the event next year again which promises to be more bigger and better. A big Vinaka Vakalevu to One World Flight Centre.#Vodafone#Fiji FA has extended their contract with Vodafone for the next three years. Vodafone will sponsor the Fiji FACT on a sponsorship deal of $60,000 per year. Fiji FA and Vodafone will also engage in various joined promotions which will help generate revenue. There will be a text promotion to win a 4wd during the Vodafone Fiji FACT this year. Fans and public at large would get a chance to win a VolksWagon Tiguan 4WD German made by texting .The promotion will start on 1st April 2012 and end during Vodafone Fiji FACT final.#Extra Ordinary Congress#The congress last Sunday passed the motion that official’s holding dual positions in Fiji Football Association and respective district associations now cannot hold two positions. Current Fiji vice presidents Yogeshwar Singh (Rewa) and Jiten Kumar (Nadi) are holding dual positions will have to choose one. #The Fiji FA board of control met prior to the extra ordinary congress and discussed on the motion so that there was no conflict of interest as far as administration of Fiji FA was concerned. At the board meeting the members decided that it would be fitting for these officials to continue only until their terms expired but later in the congress meeting members thought otherwise and passed for immediate implementation. #Fiji FA will call for an Annual General Meeting in Labasa as their district association is in lot of problems. A new set of officials will come and take the association forward which is suffering at the moment This will see that die hard Labasa fans will get to put in the administration that will continue to look after Labasa’s Football’s Affair first, before any personal gains.#Referees Director / National Football Academy Manager#Fiji FA would like to welcome Mr. Paresh Kishore as our new referees director / national football academy manager. Kishore’s achievement with the Fiji Referees Association made him an ideal candidate to take over from Chandra Segran. # # #
